To Mark Granter and the group – thank you so much for the invitation to join your friends at the CBRE at the Victoria Golf Club, Melbourne. Really enjoyed the company.

Mark Granter, Greg Boyd and Andrew Roy and yours truly made up one team … our golf fluctuated, but in conversation we were relentless. Fortunately, we solved some of the great problems of the universe!

I really want to say thank you for the wonderful feedback I received after speaking at the dinner … dynamic collection of talent in the room. A true privilege to say ‘hello’.

Given the talk of climate change, global warming and drought, a fascinating 4 days of thinking about the future – reality and trends.

To sit in the engine room of a conference like this is indeed a real education for anyone with empathy for this beautiful wide brown land of ours.

Friendships made, ideas exchanged and infrastructure for the future strategy are real tangible value adds to take away.

Sure we played beach cricket on Whithaven Beach. Gabriel Gate showed extreme intestinal fortitude to both survive the rough seas and cook a delicious meal.

Sydney Olympic gold medallist in volleyball, Kerri Ann Pottharst and Natalie Cook were an inspiration on the fine granulated white sand.

We participated in a carnival march and dinner under the Milky Way … then the gala dinner – huge finish to a memorable conference on the island. We all returned replenished.
